How to give a new look to the junk car?
Repainting
Before repainting the car, clean all the dirt and grime. Apply wax and degreaser to remove the leftover residue and use a dual-action orbital sander to blast the old paint from the car. Spray a primer and let the new paint adhere to the car. When the paint sets, sand the primed area to achieve an even finish with a sanding block. Repeat the process by applying another coat of primer and sanding it with a hundred-grain sand paper. Allow the paint to dry and wash the car to remove grease, dirt or grime. Spray the base coat of the paint and leave it to dry on its own at the end.
Interior Renovation
After working on the exterior look of the car, it is time to change the interiors of the vehicle. Replace the torn upholstery without giving it a second thought. Dislodged gauges and discolored carpeting also need restoration. Vacuum the whole car, remove and clean the inner door panels, sun visors, and glove compartment, if required. If the dashboard of the junk car is faded or cracked, it needs to be replaced. Try to seek the help of an automobile mechanic for replacement and fitting purpose.
Fix Ceiling Liner
Repair or replacement of sagging ceiling liner is not an expensive work. If there's a need for replacement, remove the headliner board and put the new fabrics. If there are only a few spots on the liner that have started to sag, fitting the liner at specific spots will be enough. It is advisable to remove the ceiling liner for an even look.
There are several other ways to make the junk car look awesome. It is a time consuming and, at times, an expensive makeover, but all the efforts are worth it when the car looks in a good shape.
