1. Honda RVF400R (NC35)
The Honda RVF 400 NC35 is a pin-up race version of the mighty RVF750R. Though the motorcycle looks the same, it has smaller headlights as compared to the RC45. The RVF400 NC35 looks beautiful, has a low seat height and is lightweight, which makes handling easy for short riders. Honda has replaced the older 18-inch rear wheel with a 17-inch for better handling. The liquid-cooled, 399cc, DOHC, V4 engine with four 28mm carbs may look small but is quite powerful.
2. Kawasaki ZXR400
The Kawasaki ZXR400 is small, light, and a fabulous handler. The ZXR is a refined version of a four-cylinder Sportster. The motorcycle is not big but is very smooth and easy to handle on surface bends. The ZXR400 is exceptionally firm, and the suspension doesn't compress even if there's a heavy rider on the bike. The four-cylinder engine screams on reaching 14,500 rpm, but don't expect much power below 10,000 rpm. The motorcycle produces 62bhp, which could propel to an unbelievable top speed of 140-mph. The ZXR400 is a robust motorcycle bolted together powerfully and beautifully to give you a thunderous feeling on the road.
3. Honda Hawk GT NT650
The Honda Hawk GT NT650 is the second bike by Honda to be equipped with "Pro-Arm" suspension. It has great handling, proper ground clearance, and power RC30 derived brakes. The 650 cc engine produces an output of 58 hp @ 5000 rpm. The superb build quality and excellent finish make Honda Hawk GT NT650 an excellent looking bike as compared to the other Honda motorcycles of the period. The bike is low-maintenance and rider-friendly making it appropriate to be a salvage auction favorite.
